In a world where broken family relationships seem increasingly common, this moment made me smile.
My wife and her two sisters. They have three ways of seeing life. Made different choices, hold different convictions, have different rhythms. They don’t always agree…and I am not sure they ever have. Yet here they are in Goa, India, together for the first time since 2018.

Time has passed. Life has moved them in different directions. The family connection was strained at times, but never broke.
Melissa and I have seen many beautiful things on this trip. We’ve had some memorable experiences we will not soo forget. But for me, watching the three sisters together was my highlight. The joy on my wife’s face said everything. The laughter, the stories, the easy way they slipped back into shared history—it was magic.
What struck me most was not agreement, but quiet commitment and desire to stay connected. To let difference exist without letting it divide.
Family doesn’t require sameness.
It requires resilience.
The sisters welcomed me with open arms…not judged, just loved and it is nice.
It is good to see that although some relationships fracture under pressure, others stretch, adapt, and endure. This one did—and seeing it unfold reminded me that connection, when tended carefully, can outlast time, distance, and disagreement.
